Italy Q2 Jobless Rate Falls More Than Expected
Italy's unemployment rate declined more-than-expected in the three months ended June, figures from the statistical office Istat showed Tuesday.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate dropped to 11.2 percent in the second quarter from 11.6 percent in the first quarter. It was expected to fall to 11.3 percent.
The youth unemployment rate, which applies to the 15 to 24 age group, remained stable at 35.4 percent in the June quarter.
